The Cheshire Dramatic Arts Academy provides drama and musical theatre classes in Guernsey for all ages. Developing confidence and self-esteem is our primary aim, and we endeavour to inspire young people, and adults, to feel comfortable and free to express themselves in a safe, fun and encouraging environment.

We were simply born to teach for a living

With over 30 years’ experience in teaching and leading drama groups between them; Katey de Menezes and Tom Cheshire are no strangers to working with children and young people. Both believe the power of drama and musical theatre can have a positive impact in building confidence and self-esteem.

Katey and Tom have a real passion for working with children and young people, which has led to the recent launch of The Cheshire Dramatic Arts Academy (CDA).

How We Do What We Do

We provide engaging
and fun weekly classes

These classes are designed to spark students enthusiasm, positive energy and confidence through the use of drama, music and movement. Students are also given the opportunity to showcase their development and theatrical skills in unique performances across the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

Musical Theatre Classes

Monday 4.15pm - 5.45pm School Years 7 to 9
Friday 4.30pm – 5.45pm School Years 4 to 6
Friday 6pm - 7.30pm School Years 10 to 13

Drama Classes

Monday 6pm - 7.30pm School Years 7 to 9
Wednesday 6pm - 7.30pm School Years 10 to 13
Wednesday 7.30pm - 9pm Adults

Unique Performances

Students are given the opportunity to showcase their talents and skills learnt in class in some unusual and unique performance spaces.
